A quarter is a three-month block of the year. For the calendar year Q1 is January to March, Q2 April to June, Q3 July to September and Q4 October to December. This tool shows which one any date falls in.
Many organisations run a financial year that does not start in January. If yours starts in, say, April, then April to June is fiscal Q1. Pick your fiscal year start and the quarters shift accordingly.
